I hold a Master of Science in Construction Management and have extensive experience managing university and state funded construction projects from planning through completion. My work includes developing accurate and comprehensive budgets for new construction, renovations, and remodels while ensuring alignment with project scope, regulations, and university standards.
I collaborate closely with in-house design teams and third-party designers to coordinate design activities, manage project requirements, and ensure functionality within available budgets. For smaller projects, I also provide hands-on design services using industry knowledge and experience. Throughout construction, I oversee both in-house labor and external contractors to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, on schedule, and within budget.
Serving as a primary point of contact for project stakeholders, I manage work requests, provide project updates, and lead project teams as needed. I also work directly with state entities to ensure state-funded projects meet university needs and compliance requirements.
In addition to project management responsibilities, I serve as Lead Mentor for the Engineering Structured Apprenticeship Program (ESAP). In this role, I act as a liaison between the Facilities Management Department and the College of Engineering, supporting students in the construction management concentration. I provide students with hands-on experience across all phases of construction management, including preconstruction planning, estimating, budgeting, bidding, construction, project closeout, and building maintenance. I also coordinate site tours with external contractors and collaborate with the Engineering Department to schedule guest lecturers, enhancing students’ exposure to real-world construction practices and career pathways.
